Activity 1
1. The character in this photo is a Mexican worker from California.
2. He is thinking that he's worked all of his life and he still has nothing to show for it other than his broken body.
3. He is feeling distraught and upset because he is in pain and still has to work.
4. There is only one person in this photo.
5. In the photo it looks like has just finished working or is on a break.
6. The story is about a Mexican immigrant who came to America to get a better life but ended up working all of his life and doesn't have anything to show for it.

Activity 2
1. The characters in this set of photos are the carnival workers and a little girl.
2. The carnival workers look like they aren't too happy to be there. One of them is smoking a cigarette. You can't see the expression on the little girls face but she doesn't look very excited either.
3. They seem to be feeling bland and not as happy as a stereotypical carnival should be.
4. The carnival workers are sitting around and the little girl looks like she is playing one of the games.
5. The photos show the carnival workers sitting on their stands and one little girl playing a game.

Activity 3
1. The story looks to be of a lonely old man walking around. I'd infer that he is lonely because there are no people in the background and no one is interacting with him.
2. Each photograph contributes to the story because it shows the man moving and arriving at different locations.

Activity 4
1. The story is about a child's grandfather passing away and going to heaven. The grandfather does not look sad and the child looks to be in awe.
2. The photo could not have been communicated using less photos because all of the photos in the series tell the story. Taking one out would mess up the timeline of the story.
3. However, if I had to take a photo out, I'd take out the one of the grandfather just sitting on the bed.
4. I chose this photo because I thought it was an interesting concept and the photographer was able to create a story that anyone could interpret.

Activity 5
Edited by Greg Manning
1. My idea for this story was based off of my morning routine. It's most of the things I see every morning when I wake up before school.
2. Yes his photos did match my selected idea because they were in the order of my usual morning routine.
3. Greg made the photos brighter and adjusted the contrast of my photos.
4. Yes I do like the enhancements because they are the same enhancements that I would've tried to do.
5. I don't like the idea having someone else edit my photos because I like editing my own photos. I'd want to have control over how my photos look.
6. I would have selected the same five Greg chose.
7. I chose the five photos I did because those are the things that make up my morning routine.
